Deirdre "Dee" Abele Ramanujam was born a 4th-generation Californian, but - like many Americans - can trace her ancestry back to immigrants; in this case ending up as farmers around Zamora, around the time California became a state.  She has many close relatives and friends who are immigrants, brought her own spouse to the US as an immigrant at one time, and became an immigrant herself when she moved to the UK.

• Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the College of Wooster

• Juris Doctor With Distinction from McGeorge School of Law

  • Took a law course from then-sitting Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy

  • Won a Witkin award (highest grade) in the International Business Lawyer class

  • Dean's Honor List 2 years 

  • Finished a 3-year law degree in 2 and 1/2 years​

• Admitted to the State Bar of CA

• Worked as a Paralegal and Associate Attorney in the San Francisco Bay Area for firms serving mostly tech companies

• Worked as an Associate Attorney and Senior Associate in London for several US immigration firms

• Has run her own US immigration law firm

• Can do document review and client communications in English, French and Spanish​

• Does all aspects of Consular work

• Can help with nearly any visa or green card category
